   Typically, I would NOT expect older CUDA/cuDNN versions to run on newer latest generation Nvidia hardware for the reasons highlighted on this email thread. As far as I know, CUDA9 is backward compatible with earlier hardware and so I would suggest moving to latest CUDA9/cuDNN, especially so that MXNet can utilize the power of Volta on EC3 P3 instances.
