Summary: apache server doesn't start upon OS start up, nor can
                    you start it manually
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2.0
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Core
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: paulbp@knology.net

Tried to start the server manually without success. Further investigation
leads me to believe I need the httpd.pid and httpd.lock files.

Any help is appreciated. I need to get my apache server working on Fedora Core
4 OS.

This seems to be a typical question for the users mailing list
(http://httpd.apache.org/lists.html#http-users) and does not seem to be a bug.
Thus I close it. Please post your question to the mailing list above.
