Rename of list..?

It has occurred to me again (at last! when I am near a keyboard!)
that perhaps this list should move along in the direction of the
ASF's overall strategy and be renamed from

apache-docs@apache.org

to either

docs@httpd.apache.org
or
httpd-docs@apache.org

It *is* concerned solely with the HTTP server docco.

I am +1 on changing to docs@httpd.apache.org with a suitable
lead-time..

Absolutely... it's a question of which way the main list is flowing.

If new-httpd is going in the direction of dev@httpd.apache.org then
example one makes perfect sense, and it all fits in the bigger ASF
schema. I'm +1 for both those changes.

If new-httpd@ is stuck in their ways, then httpd-docs@apache.org makes
more sense, but it isn't worth the trouble ;-)

Well, at long last. I'm going to see about having the
list renamed from

apache-docs@apache.org

to

docs@httpd.apache.org

For some time t the old address should continue to work.

If there is a separate docs project for apr, then it should be called
docs@apr.apache.org. :-)

And we're not worried about splitting it later, into apr-docs
or something?

function@project.apache.org is the preferred syntax these days,
rather than project-function@apache.org.

+1 either way.

You can do it right now, as far as I am concerned, as long as you leave
an alias from the old list to the new list (for the list itself and the
subscribe address).

The latter one would be more consistent with other lists, I think?
