Sorry to blend these 2 really different  things together in 1 issue.
1/Version 1.2.0 site voids
MF 120 is publicly out but apart from the jar itself, the MF site falls a bit behind behind...
E.g.: setup
- how does it affect the web.xml (e.g. need t specify servlet 2.5 xsd from now on), 
- how does it afffect the faces-config.xml (dtd v1.1 or 1.2 required?)
- what jars are exactly required for which combination? I would sugest to make an option matrix, from which you can read: if you use the core only, you need these jars, if you also wich to use Tomahawk, use these additional one + these additions in the web.xml.
E.g. documentation
- no examples are put online 
- the existing compatibility matrix is really out of date (Tomcat 6 isn't on it, e.g., butMF 1.2.0 either)
- ...
