Inside the HTML editor, it is only working to select the whole tag, but it should be consistent to the XML tag and XML attr selection from IntelliJ

It should work from tag-name -> complete tag w/o brackets -> to complete tag with brackets -> to line -> to block w/o next tag -> to block with next tag -> to next block w/o tag -> to next block with tag, and so on.
