[Axis2] Un-usually big Axis2.war file
Hi Devs,
I'm proud to announce that Axis2.war file is now over 14mb :-( .
Personally I don't like it as this leads people to think that our engine
is huge and not light weight anymore.
The reason for this is the jars we are shipping with the war. Look at
the image for jars and its sizes.
Lib folder it self gets 12mb.Do we have a way of removing at least some
of the jars. I think we can remove groovy. But others ..... ??

Maybe we should just have a "lightweight axis" documentation page.
I'm running axis on my projects without
-groovy
-xalan
-bcprov (???)
-junit
-xmlunit
-wss4j
You need axis-wsdl4j, even if you arent doing any dynamic WSDL stuff,
because some javax class is defined there; I forget which. It'd be nice
to have an axis2-apis artifact with just the APIs, because then
downstream maven2 projects can just declare a dependency on the apis,
not the full implementation, just as you can do for commons-logging or
xerces.
What is Xml-Schema, and why is it a SNAPSHOT? Is it part of XmlBeans?

Hi,
xalan is not required... removed it

Why is xalan included? Do we use XSLT at runtime?
Should groovy be there by default? I like Groovy, but I also like E4X,
Jython, etc... they should be added as extra plug jars.
Similarly with WSS4J and bcprov and the security stuff.
How much of xerces do we use?
And finally - why is xbean SO big?! (I know - question for a separate
mailing list!)
