What about using a simple, colored text similar to [^pdfbox.png] until we can decide on a proper replacement.

For a quick look how that looks within the website see [^pdfbox-text-001.png].

The sample is a quick and dirty approach only to illustrate the idea. The Box letters are in a color used in the Apache feather. Of course we still would need someone to do a proper version with better fonts.
