Well, almost got there, but failed in the “bower install” step. I did try creating  a .bowerrc and setting “stric-ssl”: “false”. Did not work. Then on my Mac, using “Keychain access” “trusted” the entire certificate chain used by bower.io, but no sugar. Any ideas?
