[jira] [Resolved] (INFRA-10782) Additional content added to CGI
responses

Mark Thomas resolved INFRA-10782.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
We don't allow temporary exceptions because they never end up being temporary.
A quick look at the logs suggests download are closer to an average 500 to 600 a day over the last week. That isn't a huge amount of load but still enough to surprise some of our smaller mirrors.
No idea what the root cause is. I don't see anything in the CMS build scripts that have changed recently. It looks like your update to the site yesterday triggered a rebuild of the single-mirror-url.html page and that picked up changes that had been applied to the CMS build process some time in the 2.5+ years since that page was last built.
There is nothing stopping you editing single-mirror-url.html produced by the CMS (or any other output generated by the CMS). I've just done this and it appears to have fixed the issue.
Given the low frequency at which the page is updated, I suggest you use the editing the CMS output workaround until such time as you switch to the JSON format.

> Hit this link (maybe others as well): http://flex.apache.org/single-mirror-url.cgi
> See page source. It includes:
> <style type="text/css">
> /* The following code is added by mdx_elementid.py
> It was originally lifted from http://subversion.apache.org/style/site.css */
> /*
> * Hide class="elementid-permalink", except when an enclosing heading
> * has the :hover property.
> */
> .headerlink, .elementid-permalink {
> visibility: hidden;
> }
> h2:hover > .headerlink, h3:hover > .headerlink, h1:hover > .headerlink, h6:hover > .headerlink, h4:hover > .headerlink, h5:hover > .headerlink, dt:hover > .elementid-permalink { visibility: visible }</style>
> which breaks some code we have that parses CGI responses.
