[jira] [Commented] (OFBIZ-5774) Populate ordermgr/control/orderentry customer lookup with parties assigned to CUSTOMER subroles

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-5774?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14137211#comment-14137211 ]

Pierre Smits commented on OFBIZ-5774:
-------------------------------------

Logical for which use-case?

That only parties in the CUSTOMER role are shown in that field is (in current feature set) the only logical use-case to identify the legal entity the company is engaging with in an order for subsequent official documents (order confirmation, invoice, etc).

> The customer lookup field at ordermgr/control/orderentry only populates parties that are assigned to the CUSTOMER role. Populating based on CUSTOMER subroles or having the CUSTOMER party role automatically created whenever a subrole is assigned to a party seems logical.
