Approaching POI 1.0 beta 1 - req for help (Excel serializer for Cocoon 2)

Hi all,

We're approaching the release of POI 1.0 beta 1. This release provides
a robust pure-java API for OLE 2 Compound Document manipulation
(create/read/write/etc) and Excel Spreadsheets (BIFF 8 - XLS) as well as
a Cocoon 2 Serializer.

In order to avoid reinventing the wheel we've borrowed Gnumeric's XML
format. All one needs to do is write a stylesheet to get their existing
XML datasources into the Gnumeric style and configure the serializer in
their sitemap and they'll have just the kind of Excel reports the
businesspeople insist on.

In any case, we're looking for people to help write some samples
demonstrating the serializer's use within Cocoon 2. I'm writing them,
but it would go a bit faster if we had a few masters doing it.

We hope as this project matures that it will become part of Cocoon
itself. If you'd like to help, please email me.

Thanks,

Andrew C. Oliver
