[jira] [Created] (CLOUDSTACK-8393) Allow VM Snapshots to be
scheduled like Volume Snapshots
Erik Weber created CLOUDSTACK-8393:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Allow VM Snapshots to be scheduled like Volume Snapshots
Key: CLOUDSTACK-8393
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-8393
Project: CloudStack
Issue Type: Improvement
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
Components: Management Server
Affects Versions: Future
Environment: ACS 4.5.1 and older
Reporter: Erik Weber
Priority: Minor
If you need consistent snapshot of multiple volumes, vm snapshot seems to be the appropriate way.
The use case is if VMs where you have LVM volume groups, software raid or similar spanning multiple volumes.
The feature itself works fine, but you cannot schedule it like you can with volume snapshots, and I'd like to see that possibility in CloudStack
