> ActiveMQ binary distribution (apache-activemq-4.1.1.tar.gz) has a compatibility issue with the bundled spring binary. xbean-spring-2.8.jar binary is depending on spring-1.2.x binary but the mentioned ActiveMQ distribution comes with spring-2.x binary and it's not compatible. it throws the following exception when you have the default spring-2.x binary :
> 18:36:34,069 WARN [ServiceController] Problem starting service jboss.jca:service=RARDeployment,name='activemq-ra.rar'
> javax.resource.spi.ResourceAdapterInternalException: Failed to startup an embedded broker: xbean:broker-config.xml, due to: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanDefinitionStoreException: Unrecognized xbean element mapping: beans in namespace http://activemq.org/config/1.0
> at org.apache.activemq.ra.ActiveMQResourceAdapter.start(ActiveMQResourceAdapter.java:83)
> at org.jboss.resource.deployment.RARDeployment.startService(RARDeployment.java:109)
> to work around this issue, you have to provide a spring-1.2.x binary.
> steps to reproduce this problem :
> make ActiveMQ embedded inside JBossAS, uncomment
> <config-property-value>xbean:broker-config.xml</config-property-value>
> which tells the AMQ to process broker-config.xml
> the complete error log is attached
