The current stats visualizations on processors and connections are very useful.  A way to potentially further their value is to provide an overlay mode which draws vertical lines in the timeline showing when configuration changes to the flow occurred.  This could make for an interesting visual of cause/effect for those changes.  Often it won't mean anything but in those cases it does it could provide some very useful information.  There could be two modes which is 'any change' whereby a line would be shown and 'this component only' whereby lines would only show if there were changes to the component being viewed.
