I have the same problem.  I attempted to open a spreadsheet file yesterday, and
today there is a new file name .~lock.filename.ods#
I have attempted to update Open Office and tried opening again, but it just
hangs.  I even left it run for over an hour yesterday, and still it won't open.
 It doesn't even give me the message that the file is locked. It just doesn't
respond. The program doesn't even open.
