i18n and XML layouts

Hi,

First I'd like to thank Dan and others for the thorough discussion on
edit modes. I used some of that info to explain the philosophy to my
test users and it's going well.

Now I'd like to clarify a bit about i18n in Isis. Are tab names and
other Strings in XML layouts translatable?

I have an XML layout called InformationSystems.layout.xml, with several
tabs:

 <bs3:row>

 <bs3:col span=_"12"_>

 <bs3:tabGroup>

 <bs3:tab name=_"Details"_>

 <bs3:row>

(....)

 <bs3:tab name=_"Hierarchy"_>

 <bs3:row>

 <bs3:col span=_"12"_>

 <c:collection defaultView=_"table"_ id=_"predecessors"_>

 <c

And I also have translations-es.po with the following:

#: domainapp.dom.smartae.InformationSystem

msgid "Details"

msgstr "Detalles"

#: domainapp.dom.smartae.InformationSystem

msgid "Hierarchy"

msgstr "Jerarquia"

However, the wicket viewer shows me the Words Details and Hierarchy in
the original language, while translating the other parts of the form.

Maybe I'm missing something? I've tried with different contexts but the
words remain untranslated.

Thank you.

Cordial saludo,

Just coming back on this one ... the framework didn't attempt to translate
tab names. It now does, as per ISIS-1445 [1]

will be in 1.13.0.

Thx
Dan

Hi Hector,
Glad that conversation on edit modes was useful and made sense to your
users.

With respect to i18n and tab names etc in layouts, let me look into that.
As you know, the tab support is relatively new, so it's possible that it's
a missing feature. But I'll do some exploration and get back to you.

Thanks
Dan
