To get any idea what is happening here, you would need to enable core dumps and
create a full backtrace with gdb. But the appearance of
/usr/lib64/php/modules/newrelic.so in the trace makes me suspect that there is
a php extension that is not thread safe.

You may also want to try running httpd with at least apr 1.4.x if you compiled
with 1.4.6. Or re-compile with 1.2.7.
