[jira] [Created] (UIMA-2771) TextMarker: anchor selection order with variable matching direction

Peter Klügl created UIMA-2771:
---------------------------------

Summary: TextMarker: anchor selection order with variable matching direction
                 Key: UIMA-2771
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-2771
             Project: UIMA
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: TextMarker
    Affects Versions: 2.0.0TextMarker
            Reporter: Peter Klügl
            Assignee: Peter Klügl

The order in which the matching anchors are selected corresponds to the normal index ordering, even if the current matching is performed in the opposite direction. That can lead to some unexpected matching results, e.g. using the wildcard rule element will not return the next occurence relative to the last matched element, but to location in the index. This issue should either be documented or the functionality should be adapted.
