FYI the "close all" solution seems not to work as well as the original 
suggestion of pumping the streams.  In particular, the spawn test of the 
ExecTaskTest suite failed with that code modification.  The only change I made 
to the patch was to use the single (shared) output/error stream constructor of 
PumpStreamHandler.  Thanks.
