Slide CVS Head

Hi all,

 

I am trying to check out from the Slide CVS head as an anonymous CVS
user. I don't want to make contributions to the code I just want to
build from this version as stated in the WCK QuickStart instructions. I
have followed the directions on the following website
http://www.apache.org/dev/cvs-on-win32.html  using Putty and WinCVS.
When I launch my putty SSH terminal it asks for a username and password.
I know the password in anoncvs what is the username?  

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, as an anonymous user you mustn't use ssh. Public CVS
access is over pserver.

Secondly, Slide has recently migrated to subversion (see
http://subversion.tigris.org), CVS has been locked. From the command
line client run:

svn co http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/jakarta/slide/trunk
path-to-local-checkout-directory
