1.2 and log4j.xml

Hallo,

is it possible to do the configuration via an XML file named log4j.xml put in the classpath, instead of the old property file log4j.properties?

I tried out in the current beta4 without success?! Isn't it inside? Can't find a hint in source code , but only in newsgroups ?-|

Is it skiped for 1.2.0?
