[jira] [Commented] (AMQ-6470) Remove unused ControlCommand handling in client

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-6470?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15972064#comment-15972064 ]

Tim Bain commented on AMQ-6470:
-------------------------------

Although I fully approve of cleaning out old code, including this in an incidental release seems like a strange decision. Every code change carries risks, so we should really be reserving ones that don't address a real and significant end user need for the minor releases (in this case, 5.15.0) and not include/back-port them into incidental releases. (Or if there really was a pressing reason why that was the right thing to do, we should be writing more-complete descriptions in the JIRA entries.)
