It seems that {{.git-blame-ignore-revs}} is not an official convention but seems to be used by most Git repos and is e.g. natively supported by GitHub (https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/working-with-files/using-files/viewing-a-file#bypassing-git-blame-ignore-revs-in-the-blame-view), still for the local Git client it needs to be explicitly configured, would be good to mention that as well (I was somehow assuming that this file as always evaluated by git which is not the case).
