[jira] [Created] (TRAFODION-1520) Option to auto-delete existing
Trafodion tables on a Restore
Atanu Mishra created TRAFODION-1520:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Option to auto-delete existing Trafodion tables on a Restore
Key: TRAFODION-1520
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TRAFODION-1520
Project: Apache Trafodion
Issue Type: Improvement
Affects Versions: 1.1 (pre-incubation)
Environment: All Trafodion environments and releases
Reporter: Atanu Mishra
Priority: Minor
Trafodion restore works by restoring back all the trafodion tables ( user tables and meta tables ) to an environment where trafodion is not initialized. Upon restore, trafodion is implicitly initialized (appears initialized because of restore of meta tables ).
The script checks to see if there are any trafodion tables(in hbase) and stops with the following error -
****[ERROR]: The target HBase has Trafodion objects.
If there are no Trafodion tables, it continues to restore.
This JIRA is to provide an option where restore will auto-delete any existing Trafodion tables on the instance (on positive acknowledgement from the user).
