How is iBATIS pronounced?
I assume the first "i" is short and the first syllable is stressed, but I've heard others pronounce it to rhyme with "I got it," stressing the second syllable.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim Huddleston

The funny thing is that due to the heritage of the word, it actually should
be pronounced i-BAIT-is.

We French Canadians have a tendency to "frenchasize" words, so we
pronounce it ee-BAT-is (in French the letter 'i' is pronounced ee, as in
bee). The rest is pretty much the same, but I'm sure no one would
recognise it anyway ;o)
Anyone else care to share their cultural "bastardisation" of the word
iBatis?

Heheh, so I am not the only one who wondered that!
It is pronounced like eye-BAT-is, with the emphasis on the BAT.
We need to get a mp3 bundled with the distribution, tucked into one of the
JAR files. :-D
