SA 2.70 and perl 5.6.1

Hi,
For certain reasons I have to run perl 5.6.0 but would like to run SA 
2.70 which I understand requires perl 5.6.1. I was wondering what is the 
functionality in 5.6.1 that is needed and if possible is it something 
that I can incorporate into perl 5.6.0 (ie. maybe just updating a core 
module). I would greatly appreciate any insights.
