Carsten,
I looked in CustomerEvents.xml in trunk and then in 12.04 branch but was unable to find line of code that could have caused this error. The patch you have uploaded will not fix any issue and also I don't think we should put it in codebase.
What exactly is the issue that we are trying to resolve?
