make install fails every time

I cannot do a make install using Solaris 8/GCC C Compilers.

Configure options used:  
./configure --enable-module=so --enable-shared=ssl --enable-mods-shared=all --
disable-info

Make options used:
make clean
make
make install

Partial output of error at make install:

   - add LIBDIR to the `LD_LIBRARY_PATH' environment variable
     during execution
   - use the `-RLIBDIR' linker flag

more information, such as the ld(1) and ld.so(8) manual pages.
