[display taglib] Table being reset to first page

I'm using Ed Hill's <display> tag library to display a multi-page table.
The first column of each row contain a link that causes that row to be
displayed in a data-entry form so the user can modify it and then update the
record in the database.  The problem I'm having is that, if the user goes to
page 2, 3, 10, etc. and selects a record, when the .JSP is re-displayed
(comes back from the action that retrieves the record from the database),
the table is being 'reset' to display page 1 again.  I'm not sure how to fix
this.  Has anyone else come across this, and if so, how did you fix it?
