[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-12231) Publishing the Creadur website automatically

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-12231?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15465685#comment-15465685 ]

Karl Heinz Marbaise commented on INFRA-12231:
---------------------------------------------

Currently I'm trying to publish the content from the staging (http://creadur.staging.apache.org/) site to production site (http://creadur.apache.org/).

Production site: https://svn.apache.org/repos/infra/websites/production/creadur/content/
Staging site: https://svn.apache.org/repos/infra/websites/staging/creadur/trunk/content/

I have made a copy from staging to production site (via svn).

But I can't see the changed content being visible on production site: https://creadur.apache.org/ ?

Is this currently related to migration ? Do we need to create the creadur-site.git repo first ?

Kind regards
Karl Heinz Marbaise

> Quoting Daniel Gruno on INFRA-12228:
> I assume you are mentioning that ticket because you want something
> to build your web site for you?
> This is possible with buildbot now (we have a git role account), please
> make a separate ticket for that.
> Anyway, git repo for the site has been created.
> Please make a branch in it called asf-site and populate it with
> something, and we can continue.
> If you plan on doing automated builds, I suggest you put the resulting
> output in a directory called 'content' in the git repo.
> The Creadur project would like to explore and use the aforementioned possibility. What needs to be done? We are quite ready to have the web site migrated from CMS to Git.
> Thanks,
> Jochen
