Subversion summit at SCALE?

I don't think I'm *that* out of the loop, but, um, when was it
announced that we're having a summit at SCALE on Feb. 20th? IOW, 10
days from now?

http://scale7x.socallinuxexpo.org/ / http://svn-summit.open.collab.net/

I was planning on stopping by SCALE the evening of the 20th,
but...gee, I would think we could have better communication around
this...  =(

So...who is planning to attend?

Thanks! -- justin

Yes, that page is definitely left over from the Munich summit,
particularly this bit:

I sent this to the users list earlier, but just as an FYI, I posted
the draft agenda for Subversion Community Day:

http://svn-summit.open.collab.net/

Registration is free, so if you're in the SoCal area, or would like to
be, I hope to see you there.

Cool. Would love to have you. Be careful though, when knowledgeable people show up to my events, I am known to put them on stage in a moment's notice.

My confusion isn't about the URL, but is more about "Gee, I feel a
part of the Subversion community and I wasn't informed." I don't view
it as 'noise' or whatnot if folks advertise get-togethers on dev@ -
even if it's user-focused. IMO, the event can only be improved if
more devs can attend. We're everywhere, ya know. =) -- justin

Exactly. Perhaps I should have just used a different project, but I used that one because it was already there. In any case, it's quite a different event.

If anyone would like to come by, or if you'd like to present for a few minutes on your experiences with SVN - keeping in mind that this is a sysadmin audience - then I'd love to have you. I'll give you the freebie code for registering.

I'd guess the confusion is the openCollabNet URL with the details?
John Mark reused the project we had setup for the SVN summit at
SubConf, but the content seems to call it a "Community Day"
everywhere.

Hi Justin,

That's a user summit that I'm putting together. I didn't send anything
to the dev list, because I didn't want to pollute it with what is a
user event.

It looks like Hyrum is the sole person from the dev team who will attend.

I don't think it's a summit, so much as a community day. I'll be
there, giving the "new in 1.6" talk. I'm just in for the day, though.
