[I] Exclude `org.jspecify:jspecify` from dependency `com.github.ben-manes.caffeine.caffeine`. [jena]

afs opened a new issue, #4185:
URL: https://github.com/apache/jena/issues/4185

   2026-09-01

   We have dependency convergence problems in PRs #4179 #4180.

   ```
   [ERROR]         +-com.github.ben-manes.caffeine:caffeine:jar:3.2.4:compile
   [ERROR]           +-org.jspecify:jspecify:jar:1.0.0:compile
   [ERROR]   +-com.google.guava:guava:jar:33.7.1-jre:compile
   [ERROR]     +-org.jspecify:jspecify:jar:1.0.1:compile
   [ERROR]     +-io.micrometer:micrometer-commons:jar:1.17.1:compile
   [ERROR]       +-org.jspecify:jspecify:jar:1.0.1:compile
   ```
   and several other micrometer dependencies.

   `org.jspecify:jspecify:jar` is a collection of annotations for Java static analysis.

   It is not required at runtime although that team recommend it is present.

   `caffeine` will presumable catch-up.

   We already exclude some runtime-optional exclusions for caffeine,

   A fix is adding another exclusion on `caffeine` which might later be removed.

   Checked and https://github.com/ben-manes/caffeine/blob/master/gradle/libs.versions.toml#L64 is updated in main to 1.0.1, so will catch up on release. Some time since last release and active repository currently, so exclusion for now, until next release looks good.

   This doesn't work 😞.

   JUnit also has a dependency on jspecify.

   The exclusion approach would work but there are several JUnit artifacts to put it on.

   Instead, include jspecify as jena dependency in the top POM so maven takes Jena's choice of version.

   Once all packages update, we can remove the dependency.
