All projects are supposed to put a smallish-sized jpg|png logo into
a.o/img so that they can be included in the randomized carousel on the
a.o homepage under Featured Projects section. Most projects do so. The
name must be just projectname.png or .jpg so that the script(s) work.

Note however most of those images are pretty small graphics -
double-check if they are sufficient quality for whatever print needs
there are.

It would be nice to have a standardized place where every TLP could
provide a standardized listing of logo assets they have available (i.e.
including B&W, different sizes, etc.) but that would be a fair amount of
work to populate.

Relevant Whimsy code that checks /img - this can be easily used to see
which projects have submitted a logo already.

Anyway for a reason the index.html file is in conflict in staging and I don't know how to handle that.

I updated the ofbiz.jpg file but get an error in staging build despite not having touched index.html
https://ci.apache.org/builders/www-site-staging

I don't know what to do next :/

Things seem OK in prod: https://ci.apache.org/builders/www-site-production/builds/26831/steps/svn/logs/stdio

Updating '.': D trunk/content/img/ofbiz.png A trunk/content/img/ofbiz.jpg

(I committed a png file 1st; then reading https://www.apache.org/dev/infra-site.html#CMS_single_page commited a jpg file.

Website staging repo:

  https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure/site/trunk/content/img/

It's a pubsub system, but still uses the CMS, so I can't remember if you
always have to force it to push the commit to production separately:

  https://www.apache.org/dev/infra-site.html

Note only ASF members have access to push to production.

How do we put/update the images there?

Re: Listing project logos

For several months, I watched the featured projects on
http://www.apache.org/ and added in a logo when one was missing. I
stopped doing that when I wasn't seeing any more missing for a few
weeks. I'm sure there are still some missing. That's an easy way for
anyone to help out in a small way.
