[jira] [Created] (MESOS-634) Make slave recovery more robust by ignoring absence of files

Vinod Kone created MESOS-634:
--------------------------------

Summary: Make slave recovery more robust by ignoring absence of files
                 Key: MESOS-634
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-634
             Project: Mesos
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Vinod Kone
            Assignee: Vinod Kone

>From recent tests by Brenden, it looks like we have encountered cases where slave dies before updates of a task have been checkpointed. In strict mode slave recovery would fail in this case. It would be nice to consider absence of files as ok even in --strict mode.
