Do Forrest devs need help with moderating? I'm volunteering to help 
spread the load if you want to add me.

Of course improved filters would be better, but more manpower will help.

no, not me, just enhance the filter, if possible. ;-)

It is just deleting them after all, but I would prefer doing it on the
server if possible.

We have three already. More sets of hands doesn't really help.
It just means that more people cop the same spam.

If the existing moderators want to be relieved of duty,
then that is a different matter.
