[jira] [Closed] (THRIFT-801) Provide an interactive shell (irb) when generating ruby bindings

Jake Farrell closed THRIFT-801.
-------------------------------

       Resolution: Incomplete
    Fix Version/s: 0.9.1

This is a good idea Fred, since it is lacking support for all transports and is so specific I would be inclined to say we leave it out of the compiler for now

> In a similar vein to how the ruby generator provides the _remote program, I find it useful to automatically generate interactive ruby sessions for thrift services.
> The main limitation of my current patch is that it only supports TBufferedTransport over TSocket.
