build module jaxws failed

Hi, all,

I am using maven2.0.7 and trying to build module jaxws of axis2-1.2
and 1.3source distribution downloaded from
http://ws.apache.org/axis2/download/1_2/download.cgi
but I got a couple of errors as follows and no jar file is generated:

Results :

Failed tests:
  testSyncPayloadMode_badHostName(
org.apache.axis2.jaxws.dispatch.StringDispatch)
  testAsyncCallbackMessageMode_badHostName(
org.apache.axis2.jaxws.dispatch.StringDispatch)
  testAsyncPollingPayloadMode_badHostName(
org.apache.axis2.jaxws.dispatch.StringDispatch)
  testFaultyWebService_badEndpoint(
org.apache.axis2.jaxws.sample.FaultyWebServiceTests)
  testFaultyWebService_badEndpoint_oneWay(
org.apache.axis2.jaxws.sample.FaultyWebServiceTests)

Tests in error:
  testEcho(org.apache.axis2.jaxws.sample.DocLitBareMinTests)

Tests run: 351, Failures: 5, Errors: 1, Skipped: 0
the first error is the following error, and also some BindException: Address
already in use: JVM_Bind, not sure which port is in use, I tried the
1.3release and on different machines, it has the same problems, any
ideas?

Thanks

David

Hi David,
Do you get this error always or is this something intermittent?
I have noticed that 'sometimes' JVM does not release the port as soon as the
test completes.

In most of the cases one test starts the server, perform the tests & stops
it. Similar cycle happen in second test too.
Since the second test also starts the server using the same port, if the JVM
is still having a hook to the port, you get the bind exception.

I do not know if others are experiencing the same scenario. But in my
machine it happens sometimes & might be the case for you too.

/sumedha

Re: build module jaxws failed

Posted by dd du <da...@gmail.com>.
I checked I did not have this port open, because I did not start Tomcat, and
I used netstat command and listed all the ports opened, 8080 not in the
list. Any other possible reasons?

Thanks

David

Re: build module jaxws failed

Posted by Saminda Abeyruwan <sa...@gmail.com>.
It seems like Jaxws tests are running on port 8080. Your system might have
opened the port 8080 at this time; maybe from Tomcat.
