Xalan - Web Site now published to Subversion - Preparation for INFRA

The web pages for http://xalan.apache.org have now been
committed to the subversion repository at:

http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/xalan/site/docs/xalan/

This directory tree contains

    ./index.html               site:  http://xalan.apache.org
    ./xalan-j/index.html       The new Xalan Java project   (based on 
v2.7.1)
    ./xalan-c/index.html       The new Xalan C/C++ project  (v1.11)
    ./old/xalan-j/index.html   The old http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j 
(v2.7.1)
    ./old/xalan-c/index.html   The old http://xml.apache.org/xalan-c (v1.10)

This re-hosting moves the (old) projects away from the former
http://xml.apache.org TLP root.  The pages can continue their
existence as required in the new subversion tree.

The old product distributions of Xalan-C (v1.10) are still use the ASF
mirrors located at "xml.apache.org/xalan-c" and "xml.apache.org/xalan-j"
and will be schedule to retire after publishing new distribution
releases.

I have heard word that "xml.apache.org" is scheduled for the attic.

TO DO:

[1] Notify Infra of the new repository site for XALAN TLP web pages.

[2] Get new mail lists subordinate to "xalan.apache.org" and retire
the mail lists that are subordinate to "xml.apache.org".

[3] Get a wiki page for XALAN developer communications.

[4] I will copy the Xalan Java Stylebook documentation to a
branch of the Xalan Java project before replacing the trunk
Java project trunk/xdocs with new content.
