A mission

I have a mission for someone with knowledge of C++ and file search
tools. It does not require familiarity with the AOO source code. Any
volunteers?

Hi Patricia,

I would like to know what the general idea of your assignment is before I
volunteer? Could you please explain?

The detailed problem has been solved. There is a bigger picture
description of a task that needs doing in the thread "Introduction and a
project".

The original mission was going to be to find the declaration for the
widely used C++ type "String". It appears to get mapped, probably
through some configure magic, to the class UniString in
main/tools/inc/tools/string.hxx.

The problem was that "String" is such a widely appearing string that it
was hard to narrow down searches. It was found by getting some field
names from Visual Studio and searching for them instead.

Patricia,

Please ignore my previous message. I have received your email with the
assignment. I just assumed you did not sent any messages after this. I
apologize.

Hello, Asa!
Nice to meet you :) Are you one of headmaster oop? Tell me please how
corporate looks like. Where can I find tasks and it is necessary to
download all source code OOP and built or not?

I am ready to volunteer with you
I have a wide knowledge  in c++ , C# ,  oop   and a lot of  other's due to
my work as computer science teacher

Hello!
I'm work in C# but have knowledge of C++ (Visual Studio Ex or Dev C++). If
is possible to not compile all source code of OpenOffice then I could take
part.
So, can you tell me more about this project? What exactly you need search:
files on disc, strings in files or databases files in binary?
