[jira] [Created] (ATLAS-4423) Impala lineage does not work
Laura created ATLAS-4423:
----------------------------
Summary: Impala lineage does not work
Key: ATLAS-4423
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ATLAS-4423
Project: Atlas
Issue Type: Bug
Components: impala-integration
Reporter: Laura
Good morning,
I have Apache Atlas installed and have verified that if I create an impala table called "table A", I can see the entire lineage. I see that the impala table is related to the corresponding data in hive.
However, if I now create a new table in impala called "table B" from table "table A", Apache Atlas shows the following lineage:
Path Hive -> Process -> Table B
instead of
Path Hive -> Process -> Table A -> Process -> Table B
Why is the full lineage missing? Is this normal, do I need to activate any settings?
Thanks in advance,
