Re: Enough said? Ambari Dev Process Proposal Discussion Ends on 10/5

Posted by Yusaku Sako <yu...@hortonworks.com>.
Hi Jun,

Thanks for resolving all the discussed points in the dev process doc.
This looks good to me.

One thing that I like added (I commented on the doc before), is that when a
patch is created for a release branch, a trunk patch must be accompanied
unless it is not applicable to trunk (in which case it must be explicitly
stated).

Re: Enough said? Ambari Dev Process Proposal Discussion Ends on 10/5

Posted by jun aoki <ja...@apache.org>.
The proposal has been finalized, now the process is formalized.

The next and the last thing for me to do is to publish in the Ambari wiki?
Let me know if you know a proper place to publish, otherwise I will add the
document link to following pages.

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AMBARI/Development+Process+for+New+Major+Features

and fix How to Commit along how to apply patches (use git apply)
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AMBARI/How+to+Commit

Also I'd add patch file naming convention here
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AMBARI/How+to+Contribute
