Vote: Use Apache nexus repository?

Since we are creating our first maven release and nexus makes this
process a lot simpler I would like to call a vote on this:

see this jira issue where I added a subtask:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-1896

As described in the issue, adding a subtask to that issue requires a
vote on the mailing list.

More info here:
http://maven.apache.org/developers/release/releasing.html
http://maven.apache.org/developers/committer-settings.html

There is also the staging documentation in the Nexus book:
http://www.sonatype.com/books/nexus-book/reference/staging.html

[ ] yes, use nexus deployment
[ ] no, ...

I'll be using the more correct way in the future.

But I have to say that I don't always know when a vote is binding, is
there explained somewhere for what kind of vote which kind of votes
are binding or non-binding?

Re: [VOTE RESULTS] Re: Vote: Use Apache nexus repository?

Technically you're right, but even though sometimes we like red tape,
consensus based working is better. If a community is voting for
everything and doing everything according to red tape rules, it is not
working according to the Apache way.

There's the absolute minimum decorum for official, binding events, such as:
 - releases
 - new committers
 - new pmc members

As far as I know, these are the official pieces where a vote is
required. How you write down the tally, is not too important, as long
as you keep track of binding and non-binding votes when it matters
(i.e. for the 3 topics a minimum of +3 binding votes is required).
When inside the incubator, the rules are the same, but the binding
votes are those of the Incubator PMC members, not the PPMC, which is
why it is adamant to have 3 mentors (they are your 3 binding votes)

Everything else is self-inflicted red tape :)

Hello everyone,

Since we've got the three +1 votes required (Francis, Jörg and I), we should consider closing the vote and tell the nexus guys to go ahead.

BTW: I have now removed the "under construction" sign from our Wikipedia page.

Since we are creating our first maven release and nexus makes this

see this jira issue where I added a subtask:

As described in the issue, adding a subtask to that issue requires a
