new field in opportunities
Hi everybody,
I propose to add a new date field in the entity "opportunity": nextStep date
This in order to list the opportunities in the find screen by the next
step date , i.e when the next action has to be taken,

It would also be good if the probability would be set automatically based
on the stage and that a probability value would be shown based on
(estimated value)*(probability%).

Hi Adrian,
Sure this is a solution too especially for the larger shops, this
solution and the one you suggest do not exclude each other.
To illustrate i am with you you, we are developing a separate task
manager with which tasks can be generated on events happening in the system.
A pre-version can be tried on ofbizdemo.antwebsystems.com/taskmgr demo
system. (we are working on it.)

I know this suggestion is a little late, but I will make it anyway.
The way I handle this type of scenario is to create Work Efforts. "Next
Step"should be a TASK WorkEffort with a child EVENT WorkEffort (the date
of the next step). That way the task and event can be assigned to users
so they appear on their task lists and event calendars, user's calendar
clients can be set up to pop up reminders, etc.
