[jira] Commented: (HADOOP-1982) TaskTracker provided java.library.path is lost if set in the job.xml

Enis Soztutar commented on HADOOP-1982:
---------------------------------------

The lines below gets the library.path from System, apends them to the arguments to child task process. Are you sure there is a problem ? If so, could you please give more detail ASAP?

{code}
String libraryPath = System.getProperty("java.library.path");
        if (libraryPath != null) {
          boolean hasLibrary = false;
          for(int i=0; i<javaOptsSplit.length ;i++) {
            if(javaOptsSplit[i].startsWith("-Djava.library.path=")) {
              javaOptsSplit[i] += sep + libraryPath;
              hasLibrary = true;
              break;
            }
          }
          if(!hasLibrary)
            vargs.add("-Djava.library.path=" + libraryPath);
        }
{code}

> if a job 'mapred.child.java.opts' property includes a '-Djava.library.path" option this overrides the one set by the TaskTracker when setting up the taskrunner.
> instead it should append it.
