[jira] [Commented] (FLUME-986) Refresh functionality doesn't work for tailDir on Flume OG

Ralph Goers commented on FLUME-986:
-----------------------------------

Why was this reopened? I believe the Wont Fix status was done in recognition that very little, if any, work is being done on Flume OG. Reopening this won't get anyone to work on the problem unless you are providing a patch.

> The refresh functionality doesn't work as intended for tailDir on Flume OG (must resort to restarting flume nodes when configuration changes are made). The issue manifests in DirWatcher.java where we want to refresh the agents but they report a dir doesn't exist, which could happen on a corrupted hash file.
