The servlet API doesn't provide concrete implementations of (Http)ServletRequest, and we wouldn't want to implement those. So vice versa is not going to work.
A converter in the other direction, from HttpServletRequest to our interfaces, could be added to the contrib code if anyone feels like contributing it.
