zone-overlay not working

hi,
  I have jquery.js included in layout component.
In inner component while trying to load zoneoverlay loading spinner, its not working.

zoneoverlay.js : these 2 lines are not working:
    $(document.body).on(Tapestry.FORM_PROCESS_SUBMIT_EVENT, addZoneOverlay);
    window.alert("hi   ---1");
    $(document.body).on(Tapestry.TRIGGER_ZONE_UPDATE_EVENT, addZoneOverlay);
    window.alert("hi   ---2");

1. Are you using tapestry-jquery or are you simply including jquery.js?

2. If you're including jquery.js you need to call jQuery.noConflict()

3. If in noConflict() mode, $ will not be available, you will need to use
the jQuery object instead.
