ECPerf
Does anyone know where I can get a copy? I thought it was open source,
but SPEC seems to be selling the tests for $2k USD. Was the original
ECPerf freeware?

I believe the original ECPerf can still be obtained for free, but the
new performance test SPECjAppServer
(http://www.specbench.org/osg/jAppServer) $2k.
I also remember a licensing term restricting published results to only
certified application servers.

Is there anything interesting legally floating around like J2EE
performance testers or the Sun compliance tester? It would be fun to
build to something around that.
