how to connect to doris from power BI

Hi Doris team

Congratulations on your very nice SQL DWH product
A beautiful promise

Can I ask you questions please ?
A) LOAD : I assume your product supports Python scripting for integration ?
or "less code" ETL tool like TALEND?

B) READ : Is there a Power BI connector ?
       - robust
       - no ODBC like
       - allows IMPORT & DIRECT QUERY modes
       - Does not require a Power BI gateway (access is public in the cloud if we want)

Is Doris accessible through a public cloud or is it necessarily an on-premises server / private cloud ?

Thanks a lot and best regards

Christophe Hervouet

Hi,
Thanks for your interest in Doris.
Doris internally implements the MySQL compatible protocol layer, so theoretically you can use any language mysql library or related tools to operate Doris.
For example, here we provide some code examples in different languages [1].

You can try to use PowerBI's MySQL connector to connect to Doris. Usually, there is no problem. If there are some compatibility problems, please contact us.
