Forwarding mail to external domain - authentication

I completely understand authentication for using my SMTP server for an
outgoing mail box. I have it set to require a pw in order to not have
an open relay.

I simply want to forward mail received for a certain user's mailbox to
an msn.com address. But apparently James doesn't differentiate mail
coming directly from outside going outside (i.e. open relay) from mail
that has 'arrived' for an approved mailbox and is simply being routed
out per configuration. It fails demanding authentication.

I don't want to do anything to affect the open relay issue. But how do
I tell James to not require authentication to forward mail?

Thanks

Jerry

Did you remember to authorize your local IP address(es)?
